It’s been the annual crayfish feasting days in Sweden …

After a period of problems with the authorities for his videos being shown on satellite televisions Ehsan Haghshenas’ second album will soon be released on Taraneye Sharghi, just like his debut album was two years ago. The 12-track “Tik Tik” features compositions by Benyamin and Maziar Fallahi, along with some arrangements by Payam Shams. Among others. It should be mentioned that the Shadmehr sound-alike Maziar Fallahi has in recent years built a fanbase for himself by singing highly sentimental themes for movies and series. In this album there will also be three duets with Fallahi.

Munky King’s cool but creepy geek toy “Black in White”, based on Luke Chueh’s painting with same name is out today. I like it, kinda reminiscent of the creepy Donnie Darko bunny, don’t you think?
Teaser posters for animated motion pictures usually try to be as obvious as possible, rather than clever and about clues. In order to reach out to a more broader audience. The upcoming “Tangled” is definitely an exception, especially for being a Disney production! Of course those familiar with the subjected classic tale immediately pick up the pictorial and titular references but for the rest it tickles the curiosity.

For all the members of the Commodore generation, including my-geeky-self, it has been announced that a Commodore PC64 is on its way! This will be an Intel Atom-powered PC featuring 4GB DDR3 memory, SATA 1TB HDD, HDMI output, optical drive with either DVD/CD or optional Blu-ray and much more housed in an exact replica of the original beige C64 chassis. Even the keyboard will be a replica! What does it mean? It means that many 80’s gamers’ dream seems to be coming true around Christmas time!

For me summers are often seasons for recovery of myself and rediscovery of my long-forgotten albums. The still of sunny days have this year led me back to “The Sparrow and the Crow”, an album which soothes my soul. William Fitzsimmons might nowadays look like a Muppet, but his sympathetic voice and casserole of slow-cooking Indie FOLK is still the remedy I need for my resting being …

I’m sure you’ve by now caught Sohrab and Tamineh, this Canada-based duo’s music videos on Bia2. One could think that it is fate that has brought these two young artists with related names from the Book of Kings (Shahnameh) together! Tahmineh who was the member of the third and final line-up of the girl band Silhouettt (even their record company forgets that it was spelled with three T!) ten years ago met Sohrab while he was in the process of recording an album with the help of Kaveh Yaghmaei, his friend and tutor. A collaboration took form and the album came to be called “Green Road”.
The eight track multilingual collection featuring a wide range of genres, from POP to SCHLAGER and ROCK-AMERICANA, has just been released. I really enjoy the nature of this collaboration, the marriage of their voices and the guitar-POP core of the music, however they need to work on the currency and consistency of their music and also the aesthetic presentation of their work (more press photos as an actual duo and professional artwork for the album cover, to start with). Their recent music videos bode a progress, however. For more information feel free to visit Sohrab’s website.

For the cover of their September issue ELLE dressed the lovely Emily Blunt head to toe in lace! For me lace represents the elegance of decadence!

I don’t know exactly what it is, but there is something about this stylish black staircase which makes me think twice before using it …
