Let me tell you about Richard! Richard is as Dutch as one can possibly be without any considerable contact with the Iranian community in Holland nor any visit as a tourist to Iran. Yet he has somehow discovered the Iranian music online and via my reviews and in that a passion that I personally haven’t seen in an Iranian, let alone non-Iranian music fan! I can honestly say that he is one of my keenest readers and listeners, being a big fan of the domestic styles and sounds he absorbs every info and knowledge as a human sponge! He often buys domestic releases via online shops, something which I don’t think that any Iranian ever does! And after knowing that I missed Alireza Tehrani’s debut in my collection he kindly ordered and sent me the album as a gift! I’m truly touched and speechless by this, I wont say gesture since its too sincere to be one, kindness and most importantly passion for our music! It has always been for the likes of him that I’ve written the reviews as well as the blog, and knowing that there actually exists readers like Richard out there makes every effort worth while! No matter if they are Iranians or “honorary” Iranians! Thank you Richard and all the “Richards” out there!!
